To Ms Li: OMG! I AM SO SORRY! When I re-read my post... It was cut short into 1/4 by blogger. And then I realised my post could not be read because I did not save my blogskin (I was very sure I DID! For what, I don't know... Seems like it always get screwed up. -sigh-) RIGHT! ON WITH MY ANSWERS! -cheers----------1. Do you sympathise with The Joker?I do not sympathise with Joker as he harmed a lot of people for his greed and pain in his heart, even though he wasn't a criminal at first, he
had a choice to choose between the good and evil. From my research of Joker, he only became what he was today because of his traumatising past. But aside from that, he could have always accepted help from other people and to live like a normal person, and
not to be a criminal.
In
The Dark Knight, he wanted to reveal Batman's identity by killing people of Gotham everyday, it was only done out of his hate and thirst for revenge. He wants to know Batman's real identity, but that
does not give him any rights to harm innocent peoples' lives, he should think about their point of view and what he is doing currently is very alike to his father's doings.
Although, I do feel sorry for the Joker as he has a very traumatising childhood as his drunkard father abuses his mother, he also carved Joker's face into a smile after seeing his son's 'serious' look. Maybe that was why he chose to become a criminal instead of asking and seeking help from councilors or others. I do not sympathise him, but I do empathise him.
Overall, Joker is a psychotic and notorious killer. He views murder as a sport and enjoys doing it. His methods are very cruel and he will not hesitate to kill off his comrades if they are in they way or if they had fulfilled their uses. Therefore, I do not sympathise with The Joker.
2. What did you learn from this lesson? I learnt that even though heroes are supposed to be good guys, they are still bound to commit crimes and make mistakes in their life like the villains. Also, villains are also bound to be good every once in a while.
I have also learnt to analyse the characters' personality just by their clothing and other things that they wear. Take Joker for example, he is psychotic and crazy, and the way he dresses fits exactly with his personality. But it cannot be true everytime as Batman dresses in black and yet he is considered a hero.
